The process of Hydrovac Excavation is a non-destructive method using pressurized water (Hydro) and a vacuum system (Excavation) to dig. With this process, Wolverine Hydrovac makes a visual observation of existing buried underground utilities, pipes, or unknown infrastructures so that they may be avoided when digging in the ground. Some prime applications would include: Underground line exposing, subsurface utility engineering, piling holes, utility poles, traffic signals, waterstands, and in plant excavation. Wolverine Hydrovac trucks are fully self-contained and give you, the customer, three services in one: > a water truck, > a pressure truck, > and a vacuum truck. Water from the Wolverine Hydrovac truck is pressurized and delivered through a unique hand held wand to penetrate the soil. The resulting sludge (composed of soil and some water) is then vacuumed into the debris hose by a powerful vacuum system and housed in the debris tank on the truck.
