What is ID Card Linking?
When linked to a PNC checking account, faculty, staff and students can also use their campus-issued ID card to withdraw cash at PNC ATMs and make pin-transaction purchases on or around campus. Although University Banking programs can be customized for each school based on the needs of the campus community, a school must have an existing magnetic stripe card program in place to be eligible for card linking and there may also be size requirements for the implementation of a Card linking program. A school might consider adding ID card linking when upgrading to a new card system, going through the process of removing social security numbers or when seeking revenue to support your card program.
