Illegal employment discrimination occurs when an employee's gender, race, age, religion or disability factors into an employer's decision about: • Hiring • Firing • Raises • Promotions • Job duties • Job perks In addition hostile, derogatory, threatening or demeaning behavior can also constitute a form of employment discrimination — harassment. Sexual harassment is unfortunately a very common form of employment discrimination.
