What is in chili peppers?

Sorry but I hadda laugh at this question. You plant a fertile seed in fertile soil and water it. In about a week or 10 days a tiny spout will begin raising itself out of the ground. If you put water on it about every 2 or 3 days it will keep getting larger and start growing limbs and leaves till it turns into a little bush. About a 30 to 45 days after it’s planted it will start growing flowers which will pop open and spread their pollen and make other flowers turn into tiny green chili peppers. They will continue to grow, till they get ripe and start changing colors. Then when the plant is about 60 to 80 days old, depending on the variety, you can start picking fresh, ripe chili peppers. EDIT: These ripe chili peppers are pods with light colored ribs inside that support the seeds. This is the part that contains most of the capsaicin. The active ingredient, an oil that makes them burn your mouth and skin.
