What is involved in obtaining an uncontested divorce in the Province of Ontario?
Your divorce will require two stages of Court process. Stage One – Preparation of Application (Sole/simple or Joint), Filing into Court of Application along with Marriage Certificate and certificate/s of any previous divorce/s of the parties, Court issuance of Application, serving Application on your spouse (unless a Joint Application is filed), preparation of Affidavit of Service. Stage Two Preparation of Affidavit/s of Applicant/s, Preparation of Divorce Order, Preparation of self-addressed stamped envelopes for service of Order on parties, Filing into Court all of these documents and the Affidavit of Service.
