What is Joy Center for the Disabled (a.k.a. Joy Center)?
Joy Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a society in which the disabled can live without prejudice and discrimination, and to empower them to live their life to their full potential as integral members of society through increased independence, productivity, and community integration. Joy Center provides community-based culturally-sensitive services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their family as well as the elderly. Joy Center also works closely with professionals in the field of special education, physical and occupational therapy, adapted physical education, counseling, social work and medicine in order to build a knowledge base and create a “one-stop” service center for our clients and those serving the disabled community.
