What is Kampala like and where would I be living?
Kampala is like any major city. There are malls, shopping spots, a cinema, restaurants, bowling alley, crime, hospitals, newspapers, hotels, and many other things. One of the best things is the view of the 2nd largest lake in the world: Lake Victoria. You can see the lake from around the office. Not far from Kampala is the source of the Nile River, the longest in the world. There are also multiple game reserves to chose from for a safari experience. You will be living in an apartment with other interns of your gender. Apartment locations vary from one semester to another, but one is a three bedroom, two bath apartment on the same compound as the office. The temperature is an average of 65 to 85 year round. The temperature inside is the same as outside. There are two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy seasons are during the Fall and Spring.
