What is Karls Korner?
Karl’s Korner has grown since it was first created. My POW/MIA pages were the first pages I put online because it is an issue I believe we must keep people aware of. I am a member of Operation Just Cause. Please take the time to peruse these pages and consider “adopting” an MIA for your website. I have become sort of the “unofficial” USS Mansfield DD-728 page. There is a complete ship’s history and many photos. There are sections on WW II, Korea, Vietnam, A-bomb tests and much more. Visit the Photo Locker and see pictures of shipmates, the Mansfield underway, refueling, shooting mission in Vietnam, and several of the ship’s cruise books. Read the Sea Tales of shipmates from all eras and look for a friend from the past on the extensive (190+) Shipmate email list. Although much of this site is dedicated to the Mansfield, it only represents the first year of my Navy enlistment.
