What is Lal Kitab?
There are several streams for predictive astrology in India. Lal Kitab is also a predictive stream. There are several stories about the origin of Lal Kitab. The origin of Lal Kitab is as mysterious as this book itself. This book is also termed as wonder book in astrology word. This book is really an asset for the astrology of India. As per one belief, the king of Lanka, Ravan got the knowledge of astrology from the god of light, The Sun, and he written down it in the form of a book. Later it reached to Arab countries somehow and got translated to Farsi language. Some changes were also done as per Arabian culture and traditions. It was later translated to Urdu language which was quite popular in India in pre independence era. We are thankful to Pandit Rup Chand ji for his great work in bringing Lal Kitab’s greatness to the people like many of us.
