Lane’s consumer warranty is printed on the HANG TAG attached to each piece of furniture and clearly states that fabric treatments void the fabric warranty – ‘… where the fabric or leather has had some form of chemical applied, the Fabric/Leather Warranty will not apply.’ (Click here to review complete warranty) This warranty position is due to several reasons. 1. The Joint Industry Fabric Standards Committee has determined that ‘protective’ cover coatings (also known as RAFT) applied by entities other than the mill or tannery may affect fabric integrity and contribute to premature seam failure, discoloration, color bleeding, pile release and latex deterioration. 2.
