Level loop carpet is a type of carpeting where all the loops are the same size, as opposed to the different sized loops you will find in textured carpet.  This creates a smooth surface, which is generally more durable and easier to clean than other types of carpet. This type of carpet is easy to find in just about any carpet or flooring store, and comes in a variety of shades, colors and thicknesses.

There are variations of level loop carpet. If the carpet is made with short dense loops, it tends to be stronger and track resistant, which makes it an ideal choice for high traffic areas. If higher loops are used, the carpet will have a softer, more luxurious look and feel.

You are not limited to certain colors when choosing level loop carpet, as it is made in many different variations. One of the most common methods is to make the loops with flecks of different colors in them instead of one solid color. This method makes the carpet appear more textured and also helps to better conceal stains.

Color usually seems to be the hardest decision when selecting new carpet, but it should not be the only consideration. When choosing what type of carpet to install, consider how that particular area will be used. If it is a high traffic area, you may want to consider level loop carpet.  As you have learned from reading this article, you will have a wealth of choices available to you when it comes to colors, patterns and textures.
