Founded in 1977, Love In the Name of Christ is a proven outreach model that helps churches help people in need. It is one of the most effective management, mobilization, and networking tools available to churches today. Using the Love INC model, local churches come together as a network. In 1995, some Nacogdoches visionaries began discussing how our community could do more to help local people who are in need. They were concerned for all the people that local organizations could not help. They wanted a way for more people to be able to get involved in helping. These visionaries came together to search for the best way to help people in need. After a vigorous search, the group decided that the ideal program for Nacogdoches had been developed by Love INC. The Love INC program was designed in 1976 by Virgil Gulker.  more

Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ) started in 2001 as a strategy to help churches help people in need. Working with more than 40 churches in the Black Hills area, Love INC has helped coordinate thousands of volunteer helping opportunities; connecting people in need with people who can help. Central to Love INC’s ministry is our Clearinghouse that works to match people with an appropriate source of help.
