What is Medical Negligence Law?
Medical negligence law was promulgated in order to protect patients from the malpractice of medical practitioners, hospitals, and health care providers. The malpractice may be caused by negligence on the side of doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, ambulance drivers, nurses, dentists, chiropractors, paramedics, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other health care providers such as hospitals, clinics, pharmacists, and other people or establishments in the medical field. Under the medical negligence law, patients can file claims for damages and injuries caused by the negligence of doctors and health care providers. It is the responsibility of doctors, physicians, nurses and other health care providers to take reasonable care of people who need their service. If they breach their duty of care to any patient, then they are liable to face charges under the medical negligence law.
