WHAT IS METROPORT MEALS ON WHEELS?
Metroport Meals On Wheels, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which organizes volunteers to deliver hot lunches to homes of individuals who are elderly, frail, chronically ill or in need of special help. Although most program participants receive meals on an on-going basis, MMOW helps during periods when someone needs temporary or short-term assistance. MMOW also provides help for active seniors by creating and managing senior center community luncheon and activity programs and promoting already established senior centers.
