What is Miami University known for?
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Miami Hurricanes’ stay in the 2009 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship didn’t last as long as they would have liked, and UCLA had a lot to do with that. The Bruins stormed to an early lead by easily taking the doubles point, then continued to roll in singles, as they downed the Hurricanes 4-1 Thursday night at Texas A&M University. The loss ended the 22nd-ranked Hurricanes’ season at 16-9 overall, while seventh-ranked UCLA improved to 20-4 and advanced to the round of eight, where it will face either second-ranked Mississippi or 15th-ranked host Texas A&M.
