What is Microsoft Outlook 97? What is the difference between it and Microsoft Exchange?

0

Microsoft Outlook is an desktop information management application, resembling a fusion of Exchange, Schedule+, and the old Office Binder. It appears as a component of Microsoft Office 97. If you install Office 97 and elect to include Outlook, Outlook will replace Exchange and Schedule+ on your system. Be careful: even if you don’t elect to include Outlook, Office 97 may replace portions of Exchange (the message send and read forms) with its equivalents from Outlook. Outlook is enormous. I recommend 32Mb RAM, and a P5/133. Sue has a good writeup on Outlook, too.
