BH: Seeing is believing. Sometimes critiques will ruin the experience and even belittle your intelligence. Read afterward, after all that’s what a critique is, a reaction. I do research artists because I LOVE ART. <3 AiB: What artist is your favorite? Do you think their work has any bearing on your own? Is it better to enjoy art that you yourself would not create? BH: I’m going to answer this question because I do not want to answer it. There is so much art that inspires me, but the favorite would have to be the artist that made me stop painting, Joan Mitchell. And yes, still her artwork relates to mine, but more on a cosmic level. <—I say cosmic to warn you that I could go on…..for paragraphs. When I look at art I am not thinking about my own art. I’m a person trying to see how another person is relating to me. AiB: Is attention more important than product? As in, is it more important in your opinion that the work itself is complete in your eyes, or that it resonates with others? BH:
