What is multiculturalism in schools?
Multiculturalism in a school is when you have children from different cultures in the same school. For example, if in a school there are Chinese, Pakistani, Indian, Spanish, German, polish etc. then this would be a multicultural school. UK is a multicultural society therefore the schools are too because the school accommodate for children from other cultures. Problems faced by different cultures in a school could be that different cultures do not get on with each other. Some children may also have little knowledge of English therefore teachers have to try harder when teaching them which could get the rest of the class down. it is believe that multiculturalism in schools are good because it allows children to grow up openly around other cultures making children aware of other cultures and also allowing children to learn about other cultures.
