What is my role as a consultant or coach?

As an outsider, there are a variety of roles that I can fill depending upon the needs of the church. As a resource, my focus is on expanding the knowledge base of the leaders which in turn enables them to more insightfully answer important questions. As a trainer, my focus is on helping teams more fully appreciate the truth of Gods Word and its relevance for overseeing the local church. As a facilitator, my focus is leading a process by which leadership self discovers its next steps of faith through open and prayerful dialogue. As a coach, my focus is on assisting with implementation once strategic goals have been established. Careful assessment with congregational leaders helps to establish which of these roles is needed in any given situation.
