What is NaCl structure and Diamond structure?

0

NaCl is everyday table salt and has an ionic structure which means it is in an ionic lattice with Cl- (minus) ions and Na+ (plus) ions which form the lattice because of their opposite charges. diamond has a strong covalent structure because it is made up of carbon atoms attatched to each other be covalent bonds. Each carbon atom is connected to 4 other carbon atoms (which is the maximum possible) this is what makes the diamond very strong because it contains lots of bonds! p.s.
