What is Nano Technology and how does it help a golf shaft?
Nano means billionth and its application in the manufacturing process increases the surface area of the shaft creating a tighter molecular structure. Typical graphite shafts are made up of 70 percent carbon fiber and 30 percent resin. Resins role is to adhere the carbon fibers. When the layers of fiber are compressed and heated, air pockets are created causing inconsistencies in the shaft. Nano Technologys tighter structure minimizes air pockets in the fibers.
