What is nas air policy for the carriage of expectant mothers?
• A woman until the end of 27 weeks of pregnancy may be accepted for travel with a doctors certificate indicating the week of pregnancy at the time of travel. • A woman from 28 and until the end of 33 weeks of pregnancy must provide a valid MEDIF from an obstetrician that: • Is dated not less than 7 days from the date of departure • States that he/she has examined the passenger and found her to be physically fit for transportation • States origin, destination, date of travel and estimated delivery date • A woman with a pregnancy of 34 weeks and above shall not be accepted for travel. It is the responsibility of all pregnant women to advice nas air of their condition at the point of booking.
