What is National Cancer Survivors Day?
National Cancer Survivors Day is a Celebration of Life observed annually on the first Sunday in June. It is a time to honor and recognize people living with a history of cancer – whether a newly diagnosed patient or a long-term survivor! It is also a time to acknowledge the families, friends, and heathcare providers, as well as those involved in cancer research. It is usually an overnight event that recognizes cancer never sleeps. Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
