What is not covered under the Staff Grievance Procedure?
Excluded from the Procedure are complaints concerning: • Wages and salaries • Performance-related dismissals during the employee’s initial probationary period • University statements concerning policies and rules • Falsification of employment application documents • Alleged discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability or status as a veteran; sexual harassment; or racial/ethnic harassment. Alleged discrimination complaints are covered by a separate procedure administered by the University’s Office of Equal Opportunity.
