What is objectivity and why is it important when observing children?

This is an odd question because if you are just observing children (in the sense of watching them kicking and screaming in the playground, say) then objectivity doesn’t really come into it. You can talk about being objective when you make judgments about something (about kids in this instance), and to be objective is to base your judgment on some shared principle/rule/law/value, leaving aside your own emotional reaction to the situation which might not be shared by the people you are talking to (the people you express your judgment too, which might not be the kids, coz their too busy kicking and screaming).

What is your question?
