Dr. Fisher: Exercise-induced asthma affects the majority of all patients with asthma. Many people can be out of shape or having anxiety but if you are having shortness of breath, wheezing or severe coughing during exercise, and especially if it is limiting your function, then it is something you should be talking over with your doctor. One in six of the athletes at the 2008 summer Olympic Games in Beijing had asthma, so it can obviously be managed very well. Q: Anything else you would like to add?
