What is organic tea tree oil?
Tea tree oil is obtained via steam distillation from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a tree native to Australia. Tea tree oil is said to be a natural preservative possessing antiseptic and germicidal properties and is often used as an ingredient in many natural body care products such as soaps, shampoos, natural deodorants, natural hygiene products, aluminum free deodorants and other hypoallergenic body care products. Organic simply means that Lafe’s does not obtain its tea tree oil from sources that use chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers to treat its Melaleuca trees.
