What is Orientation and Mobility?
An orientation and mobility teacher work with students who have visual impairements. They travel throughout the district and provide services to enable the students with a visual impairment to move safely and independently with their immediate environment. This includes, but not limited to: concept development, gross motor skills, visual efficiency skills, purposeful movement and exploration, environmental awareness, etc.
