What is prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR)?
PLAR can award you credit for your prior learning that can be used toward Athabasca University degrees or university certificates. PLAR recognizes that you may have acquired university-level learning from life experience, job training, workshops, seminars or other experiences. Please note: PLAR is a choice. You are not required to use PLAR. Doing PLAR may not suit everyone’s learning style.
