The only difference between property and homeowners insurance is that property insurance is not limited to your place of residence. It can be any type of building and the policy can be as extensive as coverage from theft and vandalism, natural disaster damage including smoke, wind and hail, and liability coverage in case anyone is injured in your property.  more
