What is Protx/Sagepay?
Protx/Sagepay is a separate company that provides an online payment gateway service. This has been fully integrated into E-cat to provide card processing without the need for a standalone PDQ machine. It is the most secure credit/debit card processing system available in E-cat. Protx/Sagepay provides access to AVS/CV2 – billing address and security no. verification look up features, and are themselves approved by all major banks. Your bank will be able to provide you with the internet trading merchant account ID necessary to use this service. The cost of the Protx/Sagepay service is £20 per month (up to 1,000 transactions per quarter). This cost also includes a terminal program that emulates a traditional PDQ machine. Protx applies no set up fee, annual subscription or transaction charges (bank handling charges still apply).
