What is quito, ecuador famous for?
Ecuador is famous for Galapagos Islands, the Amazon Rainforest, Sampedrino music, corn beer, llamas, and Otavalo. Also for Chimborazo Volcano which is tallest mountain from center of the earth. Quito is famous for churches and chapels. And hill which measures 9,895 feet above sea level at the West of Quito.
l am from quito and l can tell you this… it was a very important place for indigineous civilizations to watch the stars (it is right on the equator), it´s in the middle of the andes (literaly), it´s the city that is closest to the sun in the world, the colonial part of the city is the biggest in latinamerica, we are the 1st city to become independent from spain in 1809, lots of things to see, lots of culture, concerts, places to see, great view from everywhere, quito originaly means center of the world.
