What is required to become a member of the Order of St. Benedict and the Holy Family Priory?

0

Men and women who have been Baptized and Chrismated in the Orthodox Church, and are age 18 or over, who feel so called, are welcome to become a part of the Order of St. Benedict and – if living in the vicinity – a part of the Holy Family Priory. All who enter shall first pass a period as an Aspirant, which lasts a minimum of three (3) months; a time of serious prayer, introspection, discussion and active participation in our community life and study. Petition to the next level is made to the Prioress. During Postulancy and Novitiate, the candidate increases their involvement in community life and study. Postulancy is a minimum period of six (6) months; Novitiate a minimum of one (1) year. At the end of each period petition to the next level is made to the Prioress.
