What is SafeSearch?
SafeSearch is a feature that allows you to control what turns up in your searches on Flickr, and it’s on for everyone by default. Note: If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Hong Kong or Korea you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service so won’t be able to turn SafeSearch off. If your Yahoo! ID is based in Germany you are not able to view restricted content due to your local Terms of Service. If you are a Flickr member, you have the option to configure the level of SafeSearch you’d like. Here’s how it works: • If you aren’t signed in to Flickr, SafeSearch is always on, • If you are signed in and under 18, you can elect to have SafeSearch on, or SafeSearch moderate, and • If you are signed in and over 18, you can choose to have SafeSearch on, off, or at a ‘moderate’ setting.
