What is Shortwave?
Shortwave is a term used to describe high frequency (HF) broadcasting which is used by international broadcasters to transmit their programs over long distances. As the frequencies increase, the wavelength, as measured in meters, becomes shorter. Generally, wavelengths of between 10 and 100 meters are within the usual range for shortwave transmission.

As the frequencies get higher, the bandwidth gets smaller C or shorter. Generally the bandwidth between 10 metres and 100 metres would be the range for shortwave bands.
