What is Sony Ericssons roadmap for the future?
The wireless market is evolving with more and more potential end-users beginning to understand how remote, real-time monitoring solutions can benefit them. To date, successful trials and small roll-outs have complemented larger awareness campaigns to set a foundation for the market. Sony Ericsson’s next step will be to work closely with carriers and aggregators on issues of carrier adoption, pricing, and certification conformity. With this, awareness and availability together will drive higher adoption in the market, which will serve only to promote additional M2M focus at carrier levels while eliminating one of the more prohibitive data communication M2M barriers of entry.
