What is St. Baldricks Foundation?
Although you can find out more by visiting www.stbaldricks.org, it is a charitable foundation with the goal of finding a cure for childhood caner. The organization funds more childhood cancer research grants than any other organization outside of the United States Government, and has funded nearly 42 million dollars in research in the past four years. How do they do it? Each St. Baldrick’s event calls on participants to shave their heads in unity with children with cancer. Many of the young children undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments will lose their hair as part of the treatment process. Participants agree to shave their heads at the event in support of the many challenges these young children endure What can you do? A. Make a donation.
