Reisz: Most importantly, we give our customers a warm inviting experience and as much time, advice and information as they need. We are not a chain or mass market store and we pride ourselves on being focused on quality and concern for our customers. Where did you start the business? Reisz: I started in Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine, in June of 1972. I expanded to Portsmouth in December of 1978, so 2004 is 25 years in Portsmouth. When the Portsmouth store developed into a full-service and demanding store, I chose to leave the seasonal location in Ogunquit to devote all my energies to growing and evolving in Portsmouth. Is this your only business? Reisz: Yes, but it has so many facets that it seems like many businesses. How many employees? Reisz: Six, friendly, caring, hard-working and fun people. Who is your target market? Reisz: Extremely wide. From early 20s to early 80s. How has that changed in 25 years? Reisz: In the beginning we were “the little silversmith on Commercial Alley.”
