WHAT IS TAU BETA PI INVOLVED WITH ON CAMPUS?
Our chapter remains very active on campus, sponsoring several projects over the last few years. For example, in past years, California Epsilon has been involved in community service projects such as Habitat for Humanity, Christmas in April, and the Grassroot Education Projects, where we visit grade school campuses to give science demonstrations to underprivileged children. On campus, California Epsilon developed and currently co-maintains the Laserama light show, located in the UCLA Planetarium (8224 Mathematical Science building). We are also involved in the SmartCar Project, where we are currently developing a computer-controlled vehicle which is fully-automated. California Epsilon is most deeply involved in providing free tutoring for any students in numerous lower-division (and some upper-division) math, science, and engineering courses. These tutors, all engineering students themselves, are available at various times during the week to provide free tutoring. Stop by our office at
