In other outdoor detectors with 2 PIR channels (e.g. Optex, Crow, Paradox), a false alarm is caused if different events (happening at the same time) trigger each of the PIR channels. WatchOUT’s Digital Correlation Technology prevents false alarms from different events, because it compares the signals between the channels. Signals caused by different events do not match, as illustrated in the figure, and are cancelled out. Why do you state that WatchOUT has 2 MW channels? I observe only 1 MW module. WatchOUT’s microwave module has 2 different frequency channels; each frequency produces separate Doppler pulses and is a separate channel. The 2 channels are used to differentiate between forward and backward moving targets. Notice that there are 4 electrical connections from the module to the PCB; 2 for each channel.
