What is the Akron Childrens Hospital Foundation and how does it relate to Akron Childrens Hospital?
The Akron Childrens Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation separate from Akron Childrens Hospital. It was formed in 1971 to secure funds to add breadth and depth to the Hospitals capabilities in health care, medical research and education. The Foundation Board is made up of volunteer trustees whose efforts help to keep Akron Childrens Hospital at the forefront of health care, while minimizing the cost of such care to patients and their families.
