What is the Alaska State fish?

King Salmon or Chinook is our state fish. This is a picture of my father in his younger years. Growing up in Juneau Alaska, King, Silver, Pinks, and Halibut were a regular part of our diet. You can compare it to someone who grew up on a cattle farm; they would tend to eat beef, we ate fish.  more
