The American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) created the alternate route for the Dance Therapist Registered (R_DMT) level of credentialing to meet the needs of individuals who want to become credentialed dance/movement therapists, but are unable to disrupt their lives to attend full-time programs that may be far from home.
