What is the average 40 yard dash time for 14 and 15 year olds?
I don’t know what the average 40 time is for 14-15 year olds. 4.6 is pretty good at any age. But, I’m curious to know what position you play or are aspiring to play? Sure the 4.6 speed counts, but there are a lot of other factors that makeup a good football player. Examples: 1. Good Work ethic 2. Good team player 3. Fundamentally sound at your position 4. Good physical condition (not just bulging muscles, but endurance). 5. Study-minded (be a student of the game and your position; you have to know the history; watch tape of the best teams and players from the past and present; look to be innovative at your position) 6. A winner mentality (basically doing what it takes to help your team to win…of course, without going against the rules of the game) 7. Good acceleration (this is how fast you get to your top speed; remember, in a game you’re not going to be running a straight line all the time; football is a game of inches so you will need to get from point a to point b quicker than you
