You should probably be worrying about the PSAT in 9th grade. You shouldn’t really take the SAT now – it’s going to be too hard for you, because it’s stuff you haven’t learned yet. If you’re interested in getting a good grade on the SAT and want practice, you should take the PSAT. It’s designed for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. The PSAT is more geared toward stuff you’ve already learned. Check with your counselor if you’re able to take it. Over 2000 is a very good score, as scores are out of 2400. Scores are not based on how well you do on the test itself, but how well you do compared to everybody else who takes the test.
