What is the benefit of using a single-use disposable lancet in comparison with a reusable one such as the auto-Lancet?
The auto-Lancet should not be used in a multiple-patient environment because of the contamination risk associated for both the user and patient. The EZ-Lance design solves the issue of accidental contamination because of its built-in safety features, namely the retraction of the used needle into the EZ-Lance housing and the inability to re-use the lancet.
