What is the best computer system for Braveheart?
I would like to recommend a 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 or 3000 video board with a PIII. I have a PII 350 with a 3DFX Voodoo 3 3000 and it really moves the 3D in Braveheart, especially since the Voodoo chipset will run in “Glide”. Only video chipset from 3DFX will run in ‘Glide’ and Braveheart run best in ‘Glide’. With my PII 350 the frame rate slows only in the densest action and for the most part the 3D plays like a movie with the troops movements being very life like. It is the fluid and smooth movement of the troops that brings the 3D to life, if you are playing Braveheart on anything less than a state of the art computer system with the action slow or jerky, you are completely missing that ‘life like’ effect. Many of the problems with Braveheart are related to players trying to run Braveheart on systems not equal to the task.
