What is the best green tea brand?
You didn’t specify what type of green tea. There is no best brand for green tea any more than there is a best brand for wine – there are so many types of green tea from so many different areas with so many different flavors that no one brand will offer the best of every type! That said, you sound like you’re looking for a bagged daily quaffer, mediocre quality, that you can find in any supermarket. I find Republic of Tea overpriced and Lipton simply foul (if you really love Ceylons you will disagree with me), but Bigelow acceptable. Stash has a reputation for being overpriced but not as badly as the Republic of Tea. If you have an Asian market around, Foojoy puts out a line of cheap drinkable teas. Yamamotoyama is expensive but I liked their bagged houjicha (toasted Japanese low-quality tea); however they’re harder to find.
