What is the best lining to use for swags and other fancy treatments?
It is a matter of preference. We recommend a high end cotton sateen since it adds a little weight and stability to the swag. This allows the swag to hold its shape better than using a lesser-blended fabric. Another good product to consider is Thermaform or Outblack® Lyte. These one pass foam products reduce the amount of sunlight able to penetrate through the swag even more than the 100% cotton sateen. Generally speaking, a Sateen weave is more pliable than a plain woven fabric, and suits flowing style window treatments better. We offer a variety of linings constructed with sateen weave base fabrics in both 100% Cotton and Polyester / Cotton blends.
