While I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time by counting by hand, as some others may prefer, there are some general rules to follow when looking for such automation equipment for your vending business. As to bill counters… Don’t worry about counting speed, it shouldn’t be your primary feature. Consider how much desk space you have (footprint), how many bills you need to count in a given session (capacity), and ultimately price. You get what you pay for in this type of equipment. Since machine handling of currency made out of cotton fibers is a less-than-perfect science, pay a little extra for the service and support of the company backing the equipment.
